During the ceremony, Jakob Liedberg, founder and CEO of Cinis Fertilizer, shared some words: “Thanks to everyone who made it possible for us to inaugurate Cinis Fertilizer’s first production facility today. I am proud of what we have achieved, and I am grateful for the support I have received since the start of the company. Today, we have reached an important milestone with the production of Potassium Sulphate and Sodium Chloride. We have achieved this in record time.”

Erik van den Bergh, our Managing Director, underscored the historical significance of fertilizer production technologies and the importance of Cinis Fertilizer’s facility, commenting, “Most mineral fertilizer production technologies were invented in the early 20th century… These technologies were developed without much concern for carbon footprints, resulting in very energy-intensive production processes. Now, it is time for the next phase: continuing to produce these essential fertilizers in a low-carbon, fossil-fuel-free manner. And that is precisely what Cinis is achieving with this first production factory.”

The GreenSwitch® Potassium factory not only reduces environmental impact but also supports sustainable agriculture by providing growers with high-quality circular fertilizers that do not compromise yield or require changes in agricultural practices. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make conventional agriculture more sustainable!
