The 2024 Van Iperen International Seminar brought together the whole team from around the globe in Faro (Portugal) to discuss how to make conventional agriculture more sustainable under the inspiring motto: “Let’s Make Impact!”.
At our 2024 Van Iperen International Seminar, held in the coastal city of Faro, Portugal, our global team gathered to reflect on the year’s progress and map out the future of sustainable agriculture, guided by the inspiring motto: “Let’s Make Impact!” This annual event provided the perfect platform to review our strategy and celebrate key milestones achieved in 2024.
Innovations for Sustainable Agriculture: GreenSwitch® Circular Fertilizers and Plants for Plants® Biostimulants
During the seminar, we celebrated the much-anticipated launch of GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate (SOP)—it is finally a reality! This innovative circular fertilizer, produced at the Cinis Fertilizer facility in Sweden, exemplifies our commitment to high quality and sustainability. With lab-confirmed purity and exceptional solubility, GreenSwitch® SOP stands out as an efficient alternative to conventional SOP fertilizers, supporting growers to enhance crop performance sustainably.
The seminar also highlighted the continuous developments at the GreenSwitch® Nitrate factory, where we produce GreenSwitch® Original. This facility is making significant steps in developing other high-quality nitrate solutions, such as GreenSwitch® Nitric Acid, in the short term. Additionally, we provided updates on the Green Switch Journey to expand our range of circular fertilizers, further expanding our portfolio and supporting sustainable farming practices.
We’re particularly excited about the three-year progress of Plants for Plants® (P4P), our 100% plant-based biostimulant range! P4P represents a new generation of biostimulants designed to support crops proactively. Developed by growers, for growers, P4P acts as a Proactive Crop Management Tool (PCM), making crops more resilient to natural aging and environmental stress while enhancing Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and Water Use Efficiency (WUE). Participants at the seminar learned about our Sales, Agronomists, and Marketing performance across various countries, demonstrating how P4P compares favorably to other High-Performing Solutions and underscoring our commitment to sustainability.
Building Connections Beyond the Office
We also took the opportunity to step away from our computers and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and cruising along the Portuguese coast, which allowed us to connect on a personal level and strengthen our bonds as a team.
Additionally, we embarked on a field trip to visit crop fields with our partner, Fitolivos, gaining valuable insights into growers’ needs and how they utilize our solutions to improve their agricultural practices.
Collaborative Efforts: A Committed Team with a Global Impact
Throughout the seminar, we acknowledged the collaborative efforts made by other departments, such as Operations, to support a global impact. Their collaboration has been crucial in ensuring that we deliver high-quality solutions to our customers at the right time.
As we reflect on the memories of this year’s seminar, we are excited to continue working on new solutions to make conventional agriculture more sustainable.
