We’re excited to share the departure of the first GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate (SOP) vessel from our partner Cinis Fertilizer’s factory in Sweden to The Netherlands! This marks a major milestone in our mission to deliver sustainable, circular fertilizers to growers.
GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate (SOP) is the first water-soluble SOP fertilizer produced through a highly circular process. Developed by Cinis Fertilizer, it sets new standards in the fertilizer industry with its sustainable, circular production method that significantly reduces emissions.

With our production capacity at the recently inaugurated factory in Sweden, we aim to reach 100,000 mt per year of GreenSwitch® SOP. Product Packing and Customer Sampling Begin!
The arrival of the first shipment of GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate in The Netherlands is just the beginning. We have already received trucks with the product and have started the packing process locally to meet the specific needs of our customers. This allows us to maintain the highest quality standards while providing greater flexibility in packaging options. The bulk of the product will arrive with the upcoming boat shipment, enabling us to further scale up our operations.
At the same time, we’ve begun distributing samples of GreenSwitch® SOP to our customers, giving them the opportunity to experience firsthand the quality and benefits of this circular, sustainable fertilizer.
Lab Analysis Confirms High Quality
As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable fertilizers, GreenSwitch® SOP underwent rigorous lab testing. The lab analysis results mark a major step forward, confirming that GreenSwitch® SOP meets the rigorous specifications required -including pH and solubility- for water-soluble fertilizers. These results not only validate the product’s quality but also showcase the effectiveness of its innovative circular production process.
Sweden’s GreenSwitch® Potassium Factory
The GreenSwitch® Potassium factory in Sweden, which officially opened on June 4th, is the core of this innovation. The facility uses a patented process to recycle industrial residues from electric car batteries and the paper industry, transforming them into high-quality fertilizer. This method drastically cuts down on energy use and emissions, making it a game-changer in sustainable agriculture.

GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate was recently named a finalist for the GreenTech Innovation Award 2024, highlighting its innovative production methods and sustainable impact. This recognition follows the success of GreenSwitch® Original, which won the same award in 2021. Both products are part of Van Iperen’s circular fertilizer offer. These new products reinforce our ongoing commitment to make conventional agriculture more sustainable.
