GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate (SOP) has been named a finalist for the GreenTech Innovation Award 2024, recognizing its innovative production methods and sustainable impact. This distinction reinforces Van Iperen’s dedication to developing solutions that enhance agricultural productivity while promoting sustainability.
GreenSwitch® Potassium Sulphate, produced by our partner Cinis Fertilizer, is our first water-soluble Potassium Sulfate fertilizer produced through an environmentally friendly circular process with reduced emissions in Sweden.

GreenSwitch® Potassium: The Factory in Sweden
Inaugurated officially on the 4th of June, the GreenSwitch® Potassium factory in Sweden runs through a patent-protected process. Its innovative production method, reusing industrial waste from electric car batteries and the paper industry, ensures that GreenSwitch® SOP not only enhances agricultural productivity but also maintains sustainability throughout the production process. In this context, the GreenSwitch® Potassium factory addresses sustainability challenges, including high energy consumption and significant CO2, by drastically reducing energy use and emissions.
GreenSwitch® Circular Fertilizers
This recognition follows the success of GreenSwitch® circular fertilizers: GreenSwitch® Original, our first liquid nitrate fertilizer from an organic source, won the GreenTech Innovation Award in 2021. Being a finalist for the same award three years later reinforces our ongoing commitment to innovation in the agricultural industry.
While we did not win the GreenTech Innovation Award, GreenSwitch® SOP’s recognition as a finalist highlights the importance of our work and inspires us to continue making conventional agriculture more sustainable.
